Important notice


Let me emphasize what St. Paul said in his letter to the Romans, “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-9).



Although St. Paul did not specifically mention COVID-19 in his letter, we can be confident that even this virus cannot separate us from the love of God. In times of trials and tribulations such as these, we are called to share the Word of God and His promises through Christ to countless people, especially those who are fearful or afraid of an unknown future. In faith, we know that God is in complete control of all situations and “for those who love God all things work together for good” (Romans 8:28). We have nothing to fear because we belong to Christ Jesus. We were baptized into His death and resurrection. Therefore, it is in Him we put all our trust for this life and our eternal life to come.



Newly made mandates from Governor Evers are intended to limit the spread of CODID-19 and protect the lives of those at greater risk for severe symptoms. We honor our authorities by following the mandates to the best of our ability. Yet, we “do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, we fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28-29). Satan would use pestilence and panic to deter us from seeking the Lord. However, there may be no greater time in which we ought to repent of our sins, seek forgiveness, and a strengthening of faith through Jesus Christ our Lord.



As such, St. Paul Lutheran Church will continue to proclaim Christ in the following manner:

  1. We will remain open to offer Word and Sacrament ministry to groups of 10 or less.

    1. God uses suffering through trials and tribulations to call us to repentance, strengthen our faith, and sanctify us to be more Christ-like. These are fulfilled where the Lord is present in preaching of the Word and where the Sacraments are administered.

    2. Therefore, Pastor will officiate, in the upstairs education wing, several consecutive brief (under 30 minutes) services with confession, Word, and Holy Communion to groups of 10 or less at a time.

    3. These opportunities will be Wednesdays 6-8pm, Saturdays 6-8pm, and Sundays 8-11am. Please call to indicate when you are able to attend so that we can honor the mandate while continuing to worship. Sanitizing will take place after each group leaves.

    4. Please call to arrange another time with Pastor if these days and times do not work for you.


Again, we realize the confusion and uncertainty most of us may be experiencing at this time, but with help from the Holy Spirit we endeavor to keep the faith in Christ. This is a time to boldly and confidently proclaim the Gospel.
